Christina & Jeremiah
Partners in Crime. Photographer couples who work together
All photos and videos by Eastlyn and Joshua
Do you know many couples who work together? Perhaps. But those who ALSO have lived side by side since the age of 8?! Highly unlikely. Today we’re sharing our interview with a beautiful couple, inside and out: Christina and Jeremiah. They’re both from Ohio, but explored Europe, travelled the world, and hiked many mountains together.

Last year when the pandemic hit the world - they hit the road! They bought a 2001 Dodge Ram van in March 2020 and are now full time Van Lifers, living on the road. Benefits? Not only it’s easier and more affordable for them, but so it is for their clients. Win win!
— How did you two meet?
We actually met when we were kids! Christina was 8 years old, and Jeremiah was 10. Jeremiah claims Christina said he was cute on their first day meeting... Christina can neither confirm not deny. We remained friends for the following years, and became best friends in high school. We would talk on the phone all night, literally until the sun came up. We would beg our parents to drive us to each other's houses and movies, we were really close, and secretly knew we were meant to be. We started dating our sophomore/junior year, stayed together through high school, college, and got married in 2018.
— How did you start working as a couple?
Christina started photography in 2015, and had dreams of becoming a travel photographer. We took our first trip across the states together in 2017, literally taking the bus from Ohio to California. We fell in love with the Western US, and it was on this trip Jeremiah started dabbling in video. By the end of the year we started offering videography to our couples, after 3 successful weddings that way, we started our LLC on January 1st 2018, and both became full time!
— What's the hardest part about working together?
We really enjoy working together and definitely wouldn't change anything. Sometimes we get in each other's shots on wedding days (Christina particularly has a knack for getting in Jeremiah's videos). The hardest part for us was probably figuring out the work to personal life balance. When you live together in a van, work together, do everything together, it can be hard to have that time where you don't talk about work. We had to figure out how to still enjoy doing things together that had nothing to do with photography and videography, which is why we started rock climbing!
— Best thing about working as a couple?
Seeing your best friend all the time! We wouldn't change this for anything in the world. For this season in our lives, it's perfect!
— How do you go about when you disagree?
We've read several marriage books that have been very helpful, particularly Love and Respect. We try our best to practice good communication, being respectful and loving towards one another, using words like "I feel" instead of "You did". If we need space, one of us will take a walk, or do an activity without the other person. Prioritizing alone time is important!
— What's the tip you'd give to other couples considering a business together?
On Sunday, get together and talk about your goals for the work week, and set boundaries for hours that will be just for work, and hours that will be for each other, no work. Have an activity to do together that has nothing to do with work, remember to enjoy each other's company, and set aside the business.
— Tea or coffee?
For me (Christina), coffee! My go to order is an oat milk lavender latte :) Jeremiah prefers tea over coffee! He especially loves the assortment of green teas we bought when we were in Japan last year. We've been drinking quite a bit of that lately!
— Sun or rain?
Definitely sun for both of us!
— Friends or Game of Thrones?
And can we say neither? :P We've never gotten into Friends, and I've watched Game of Thrones, but Jeremiah hasn't. The Office is probably our favorite to watch together!
